Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a multi-layered security measure implemented to maximize the security of your user accounts. This system prevents malicious third parties from accessing your account by requiring a second verification step that only you can access, in addition to your account password.
While a username and password alone are sufficient in traditional single-factor authentications; in two-factor authentication, it is mandatory to enter a temporarily generated one-time code when logging into the system, performing withdrawals, or changing critical security settings.
2FA Methods Supported on Arbitex
In order to secure your Arbitex account, you can use the following two-factor authentication methods:
SMS OTP: A one-time security code sent via text message to your registered mobile phone number at the time of the transaction.
E-mail OTP: A one-time verification code transmitted instantly to your registered e-mail address.
Google Authenticator (Recommended): The most secure 2FA method that generates time-based, changing one-time codes every 30 seconds without requiring an internet connection, through an application (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.) you install on your smartphone.
Security Recommendation: In order to protect the security of your digital assets and account data at the highest level, it is strongly recommended to activate the Google Authenticator method instead of SMS against the risks of network outages or cyber line hijacking (SIM swapping) originating from GSM operators.
To configure your two-factor authentication settings or change your method, you can visit the Account > Security Settings menu; for any technical support requests, you can contact us 24/7 via the info@arbitex.com e-mail address.
